I thought I would check out the Maverick and Bridge location early Friday morning because of all the rain we had on Thursday night. I also liked what Brandon did with his photo and tried to make a similar shot.
You can see that the erosion is pretty bad under the bridge. I don't think the banks that are there will last long in a major flood.
Back in 2010, I shot some video of the flooding around town. One spot was at the Man O War Road bridge that crosses the Virgin River. Here is a link to the video I shot.
I decided to check that same location out today and got some good shots there as well. In the third picture, the trail is on the left and I took the picture from the bridge above.
I love the processing of coloring of your first shot of the bridge and maverick. I always tend to lean towards the side of having my photos be more on the saturated side color wise, but I love how the character of the bridge really stands out in the shot.
